Be a Panelist on Comms Question Time
Why Should You Join Us?
- Exposure to potential clients: Reach comms-curious businesses and organisations interested in learning what PR and comms can do for them. We encourage listeners to reach out to you if they like what they hear.
- Educate: Help educate the world about the impact PR and comms could have on their organisation, helping you and the whole industry to be heard more. We “celebrate” PR.
- “Integrated PR-led marketing”: Join us as we explain how PR has changed from being just about press release pushing and today is about PR-led marketing. In the show, we embrace any technique that helps an organisation generate a “relationship” with someone they need to reach. That could be through earned media, stunts, partnerships, guerilla marketing and even paid ads. Nothing is off-limits in this show.
- Market Your Agency or You: Authentically share your ideas and experiences rather than in a sales pitch.
- Showcase Your Best Show Moments: We’ll clip and share your best moments. Use those as you like in your social or any way you can think of if it helps you.
- Fun and Engaging Format: The panel-style show makes it easy to be yourself, bounce ideas off others, and enjoy the process. Our guests find it both simple and really enjoyable to brainstorm together.
- Connections: Connect with other global communicators on the panel.
What we do
During the 30-minute show, as a panel, we tackle two real-world communications challenges submitted by our listeners.
It could be about navigating a personal reputation issue, launching a new business, or helping a charity gain visibility.
We don’t know what these are until the week before, It depends on what the audience needs help with. Once we have the questions we share the scenarios with the panellists.
As a panel we try to come up with a clear plan of action for the questioners using our combined knowledge.
We do that by brainstorming ideas together, sharing our experiences and projects we’ve worked on as examples to illustrate the points and come up with a list of practical, actionable steps the listener can take.

What We Look for in a Panelist
Call it integrated communications or PR-led marketing, Comms Question Time believes in the idea of building relationships through any effective channel, whether it’s organic, paid (yes, paid), traditional/new media, social, crisis comms, partnerships, etc, etc. We’re looking for panellists who embrace this idea that PR has moved on and is no longer just about press releases and traditional press.
- Innovative Thinkers
- We love varied perspectives. We’re interested in interesting ideas, not the best-known PR people. It’s your unique experiences, what you have tried with clients, what worked and what you did that makes the difference. Maybe you specialise in one area. Everyone can help add ideas to the panel.
- Real-World Problem Solvers
- People who love a challenge and like to think creatively about comms. We share the scenarios a week before, so there is plenty of time to review them but there are still a lot of new ideas that come up in the moment during recording.
- Collaborative and Passionate
- We like people who enjoy comms and think it’s exciting to strategise and try things to achieve whatever aim, whether it’s to promote something, kill a story or tackle a complex message. If you find that fun, you’ll be perfect.
- Authenticity Matters
- The secret to a good appearance is to just be you. Our listeners want to hear from professionals who are passionate and genuine about their PR rather than someone trying to just pitch their services. This is a chance to sell yourself on your expertise and ideas.
If this sounds like you…
